PLACES & EXPLORATION

Resort Explorer guide v1.0.0 · Changelog

Choose a mountain.
Find your own way down.

A little closer to the mountain.

Resort Explorer brings a growing collection of mountains into your browser. Choose from the resort list, then open a 3D experience with mapped trails, lifts and ways to explore on the snow. Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vermont, is the first resort. More are coming.

Try your first mountain.

  1. Open Resort Explorer, choose Okemo Mountain from the resort list, and select Explore Okemo Mountain.
  2. Start with the 3D map. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom, and choose a trail or lift from the feature list.
  3. Try a lift ride, skiing, snowboarding or walking. Use the in-app riding controls for keyboard and touch instructions; return to Explore to choose another feature.

Can I explore other resorts?

Okemo is currently the only available resort. More resorts are coming, and each new mountain will appear in the same resort list. No additional resorts or release dates have been announced.

Is this a live mountain report?

No. The explorer uses geographic elevation, imagery and mapped features with estimated scenery and riding behavior. It does not report current trail openings, lift operations, snow conditions or on-mountain hazards. Read each experience’s Sources & accuracy notes and consult the resort’s own information when planning a real visit.

What should I expect from the 3D model?

The terrain and mapped routes are source-based, while individual trees, structures and lodge interiors include approximations. Riding is an illustrative simulation. Rendering and controls depend on your browser and graphics hardware.
